What platform will you build on?
Whatever's right for your project. I work across modern frameworks like Astro, Next.js, Webflow and Framer for fully custom builds, and Squarespace and Shopify for clients who want to self-edit easily. Once we've scoped the project I'll recommend the platform that fits your needs, your team and your future plans - never a one-size-fits-all answer.
Do you build in Squarespace?
Yes - Squarespace is a brilliant fit for service-based businesses, personal brands and consultants who want a beautifully designed site they can update themselves without touching code. I design and build a fully customised Squarespace site that doesn't look like a Squarespace site - then hand you the keys with proper training.
Do you build in WordPress or Wix?
No - I don't work in WordPress or Wix. WordPress carries security maintenance, slow load times and plugin bloat that smaller businesses really don't need. Wix produces sites that feel templated no matter how much you customise. There are better tools for the job in 2026, and I'd rather build you something that actually performs than something that just exists.
Why work with you instead of a Squarespace template?
Templates can get you online. They cannot get you noticed. A real brand-led site is built around your strategy, your voice, your audience - not someone else's idea of what a website should look like. You also get a creative director leading the project, not a generic developer following a wireframe. Same platform, completely different outcome.
Will my site rank on Google?
Yes - I build clean, fast, accessible sites that search engines and AI assistants (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini) can read clearly. SEO basics are baked in: meta tags, schema, sitemaps, fast loads. The first lift comes from build quality. The bigger lift comes from content - which I can help direct.
I'm at the cutting edge of my industry - will my site reflect that?

How long does a build take?
Typically 4-6 weeks from kickoff to launch. Smaller Squarespace sites in 2-3 weeks, fully custom builds in 6-8, e-commerce in 8-12. We agree the timeline upfront.
What about hosting?
Depends on the platform we pick. For custom builds I deploy to a global CDN - fast everywhere, instant rollbacks, often free or very cheap. For Squarespace and Shopify the platform handles hosting. Either way - no surprise monthly fees, no servers to babysit.
Can I edit the content myself after launch?
Yes. Whatever platform we land on, I leave you with documentation and a workflow so you can confidently update copy, images and pages without breaking anything. Training session included.
